The University of Latvia Wind Band (artistic director Janis Puris and conductor Mara Lemken) is delighted to announce the upcoming concerts in Lithuania, which will take place on September 28 in Kaunas and September 29 in Vilnius.
These concerts together with Vilnius Broni Jonuss Music School Wind Orchestra led by Rimanta Valančauskis are a great opportunity to gain joy from high-value musicalisation and to introduce listeners of Lithuania with a wide cultural heritage from Latvia.
The concert in Kaunas will take place in Kaunas Church (Kauno St Arkangelo Mykolo bajnychia) at 14.00, while in Vilnius the wind orchestra will perform at Vilnius Church (Vilniaus Svč. By mergelės Marijos Nekaltojo Prasidėjimo anxnychia) at 18.00. Both events will feature outstanding soloists - Samanta Rauza (saxophone), John Rinkulis (cello), Augustins Paukštis (clarinet), Rimantas Ramanauska (clarinet) and Ilja Zenkovich (saxophone), playing both classical and contemporary musical pieces.

The University of Latvia Wind Band is known for its energetic and professional performance, as well as its extensive repertoire, which covers different styles and periods of music. Members of the orchestra include both talented students and music enthusiasts and professionals who have come together to create a unique musical experience together. The wind band is performing regurarly in and outside the Baltic States.
